About
I've been a ferret lover since 2014 when I started volunteering at the Greater Chicago Ferret Association. I wasn't planning to adopt but fell in love with Emilia and Sky and took them home that November.
Since then I've fallen victim to Ferret Math and currently have 11 beautiful babies in my business. Most of my recent ferrets spent 8-14 months at the GCFA before finally coming home with me. Many of them have health issues, and some have only lived with me for a month or two before passing away. But in spite of the heartbreak, I'm glad they had a home and family at the end.
After getting tons of compliments on social media and requests for pictures from friends, I realized I could combine my love of ferrets with my passion for photography and decided to start www.ferret.photography to offer my photo services to other ferrents in the Chicago area!
Additionally, I've been photographing the GCFA's adoptable ferrets for a couple of years as well as some of their events. I realized a long time ago that I can't personally save every ferret that needs a home. Photography is one way for me to do so indirectly - many of my photos are used on Petfinder and Facebook and have helped these precious fur babies to find their forever homes. I also donate a percentage of each photoshoot to local ferret charities.
